The week is half over now, so I can blog a bit about my new semester so far!
Let’s start out with classes. This semester I’m taking the following:
Monday, Wednesday: Group Communications, Statistics, Sculpture.
Tuesday, Thursday: Work in the Video Game Room. (Not technically a class, but it still keeps me busy on campus!)
Friday: Post-Modern Art History, Statistics.
My first day of classes was hectic and surreal. I always fall into a weird funk when a new set of classes start. The great thing about college is that this funk lifts a lot faster than it did in high school! The classes are usually much more exciting and interesting, and being back at a school I love makes it easy to get back into the swing of things.
My Group Communications class seems to be a fun class. The professor, Sheryl Hurner, is really nice and quite funny. I enjoy being in groups as well, so the class is something to look forward to.
Statistics is something I was nervous about. So far the class has been pretty simple. The lessons have been well taught, so I hope I don’t fall behind or lose focus at any time. I’m forcing myself to sit at the front of the class so that I risk embarrassment if I zone out.
Sculpture has already been a kick! Today we used newspaper and masking tape to create sculptures. We were allowed to choose anything we wanted, so I sculpted a spider!
I call it the Giant Wendy’s Spider. The franchise will probably never adopt this mascot, but a guy can dream!
My first day at the new job was pretty swell. It’s a relaxed job where I get to meet some cool people. I close at night, which is kind of stressful when you’re first starting out. I’m hoping I get the hang of it soon! Tomorrow is another day, so we’ll see how it goes.
I’ll update everyone with more as the semester goes on! How is everyone doing with their classes and activities?

I have Professor Hurner too! (but for professional interviewing) Love her, she is really nice and easy-going!
Hope you have a great semester!
Thank you, I hope the same for you! And yeah, she’s a really nice professor! I hope you enjoy her class!
I love your “Giant Wendy’s Spider” sculpture! be sure to share more of your art pieces. =)
Thanks! I’ll definitely post more of my future sculpture stuff!
